The Bank of Finland Museum is open Tuesdays to Fridays 11:00 – 17:00 and Saturdays to Sundays 11:00 – 16:00. On  Mondays the Museum is closed.

The Museum is exceptionally closed on the following days in 2022:
6 January
15 to 16 April
1 May
24 to 26 June
5 November
6 December
23 to 26 December

When the Museum is open, visitors can independently view both the permanent and the special exhibitions. It is also possible to book in advance a guided tour for a group. Tours are conducted in Finnish, Swedish or English, according to the needs of the group, and are free of charge. The basic tour lasts around 45 minutes. Visitors are guided through topics including the history of money and monetary systems, the Bank of Finland’s activities as part of the Eurosystem and the art featured on Finnish banknotes.

Due to the coronavirus situation, however, we are limiting the number of visitors: there can be a maximum of 20 people in the museum at the same time.

How to visit the Museum safely.

The Museum arranges two guided tours per day. The first begins at 11:00, and the second can be at 13:00, 14:00 or 15:00. It is a good idea to book well in advance.
