New look for the websites of the Bank of Finland Museum and the Financial Literacy Centre

The Bank of Finland Museum website rahamuseo.fi and the Financial Literacy Centre website talousosaamiskeskus.fi are among the four websites that have been redesigned with a brand new look. The other sites are suomenpankki.fi and bofit.fi. The redesign gives the websites a consistent appearance and brings clearer content, a freshness and new artwork with a more human touch.

The purpose of the website redesign is to

  • standardise the appearance, content and navigation logic of all four websites
  • raise the profile of topical content with the aid of automatic highlighting
  • update the technical solutions and publication system
  • freshen up the visual appearance and improve the accessibility of content.

The Bank of Finland Museum and the Financial Literacy Centre work to promote financial literacy among the general public and to further people’s knowledge concerning money and financial and economic themes. The redesigned website provides plenty of inspiration for planning a visit to the Museum. The specific material on financial literacy is highlighted using the Financial Literacy Centre’s inquisitive cartoon character (‘Ruu’) both on the website and at the Centre itself.

Key economic and financial terms are explained using a new terminology feature integrated into the content to help users understand the issues.

All the financial literacy content can be found as a separate section on the rahamuseo.fi website. The talousosaamiskeskus.fi website provides direct access to the same material.
